Presenting Companies Selected

This year the Rockies Venture Club received over 60 applications for presentations for the 22nd Annual Colorado Capital Conference. The screening committee set about the challenging task of selecting six great companies to present. The companies selected are listed below. By the time of the conference, they will have received significant feedback on their plans and presentations. So don’t miss this opportunity to hear their stories and learn!

1.BioCare SystemsBioCare develops infrared therapy devices to regenerate cartilage, accelerate tissue healing of sprains, strains and fractures and decrease pain. Our FDA cleared products treat conditions representing a $40 billion market. Our 2-tiered market strategy is already selling to elite athletes in Olympic, Pro, and Div-I programs, with an FDA-reviewed clinical plan leading to reimbursement. NASA chose LumiWave from all competitors to take into space and will develop a battery powered unit for us.
2.Bombay Bowl Inc.Bombay Bowl is founded with the philosophy – demonstrate that Indian food served fast doesn't have to be a "fast-food buffet type" experience. Bombay Bowl is a limited service contemporary Indian fast-casual concept that focuses on the drawing power of an Indian restaurant that meets the needs of people on the go who still want a healthy food at reasonable prices. Our motto is “Serve hot, not heated”. One year old and unit level profitable. No other similar concept exists.
3.Frontline Aerospace Inc.Frontline is at the intersection of cleantech and defense. We are at the product-development stage, with a great management team and on the cusp of revenue. Customers receive a strong value proposition, with a 2-3 product break-even based on today's jet fuel prices, let alone five years from now. We are self-funded and have invested $580K to date. With high gross margins, a clear $1.6B market and two granted patents (4 more pending) Frontline is poised to hit >25x returns in five years.
4.Skirt Sports IncSkirt Sports produces, markets and distributes women's fitness clothing. In 2005, Skirt Sports created a category with the introduction of the first-ever running skirt. Skirt Sports is currently a proven start-up, having completed its 5th year of business. Growth has been steady from $325k in 2005 to a projected $3M in 2010 through two primary channels: Direct-to-consumer and Wholesale. Skirt Sports needs working capital to purchase inventory for wholesale growth driven by market demand.
5.SunTrac Solar Inc. SunTrac manufacturers solar thermal panels that combine the efficiency and high heat of parabolic trough concentrating collectors with the reliability and ease of installation of flat-plate solar thermal panels. Our panels are designed for commercial / industrial use. In our top 3 states (HI, CA, AZ), we offer end-users IRRs of > 100% per year while offsetting volatile fossil fuel costs for their hot water needs. There are 11 US states where payback is < 1 year for end-users of our system.
6.Tensegrity Prosthetics Inc.Tensegrity Prosthetics, Inc was founded by current CEO/CTO Jerome Rifkin in 2000 and is now an S-Corp. More than 85% funded by non-dilutive grant sources, the mission of Tensegrity Prosthetics, Inc. is to design and build a prosthetic foot based on the proprietary Tensegrity joint principle replicating the efficiency, stability, and comfort of the natural human foot. The Company’s goal is to improve the quality of life and mobility for lower-limb amputees and generate wealth as a result.
